Monthly Programming

Our monthly programs have ranged from topics on:

Distinguished Neighbors

We showcase members of our community with neighbors telling us about their work, their lives, or an important project of theirs, such as:

  • NASA's New Horizons Program, Chris Hersman

  • Conversation on Race, Ruth Enid Zambrana

  • Nazi hunting at the Justice Department, Bill Kenety

  • Sports columnist, Mike Wise

  • Viruses and Toxicology, Marie McKeon

Neighborhood Social Events

We have events such as:

​

  • Game nights

  • Holiday parties

  • Annual evening socials at the beautiful Audubon Naturalist Society's mansion

 

During the pandemic, programs are on Zoom. We’ve hosted Zoom coffees and happy hours so neighbors can stay in touch. 

​

In September 2021, we held our first in-person event on the grounds of a local church with hours of live music by local musicians and free Italian ices.

Washington Area Villages Exchange

Upcoming social, educational, and cultural events hosted by WAVE member villages. 

North Chevy Chase CONNECTIONS, Inc. is a Maryland not-for-profit corporation with 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Code, established to foster and offer support for neighbors in need of neighborly assistance. The organization does not take sides on controversial or political issues in our community, but may share factual information on such issues at the discretion of the Board.
